Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer Review 800JEXL

The Breville Juice Fountain Elite juicer is one hell of a juicer. With an engine that you could take to Mars and impenetrable armor, it will serve you well. It makes a lot of noise, though some won’t mind this at all, given that the high-powered engine will churn through everything you throw at it with ease.

Power through the produce with the Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer

The most intriguing feature of the Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer is the monstrously large engine sitting inside it. It’s packing 1000 watts of grunt, which is enough to demolish all the fruits and vegetables you care to challenge it with.

They say it’s roughly 3 times faster than your average machine, and I wouldn’t be surprised. So if you’re looking for a monster (or just an efficient juicer) the Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer fits the bill pretty much perfectly.

Along with the engine, the folks over at Breville have added a big feed chute, which means less chopping and more juicing. I don’t know about you, but I hate having to chop up my fruits and vegetables. I would rather just grab fruit and vegetables out of the fridge and put them straight into the juicer (after washing them of course).

With this juicer, you can process three carrots of average size at once or three apples or oranges stacked on top of each other. It’s 3″ in diameter and 7″ tall.

Juicing is good for you (as you already know) and this juicer is great for taking advantage of the great benefits.

Speedy prep and clean up.

A great thing about the Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer is that it’s a breeze to disassemble and clean. You could probably take it apart in under a minute. How you clean it is up to you, though with “dishwasher-safe” parts, you probably won’t be doing it in the sink.

I don’t have a dishwasher so I just take mine apart, throw it in the sink, wash it in 5 minutes then let it drain and dry. If cleaning isn’t something you’re fond of but you’re desperate to juice, this juicer is going to suit you best.

Foamy goodness…

Or not so foamy. People have been known to complain about the amount of foam that centrifugal juicers produce and it seems like Breville have caught on. They’ve designed the lid of the Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer to separate the foam from the juice.

And with a high RPM motor, you’re getting a higher juice yield than can usually be expected from centrifugal juicers. It does a great job of spinning the maximum amount of juice out of the pulp which ultimately means more “bang for your buck”.

Can a juicer be sexy?

Probably not, unless you’ve got a peculiar kind of fetish. However, the Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer is of a stainless steel construction, so if nothing else, it’ll look great on your bench top. Now you can enjoy the benefits of juicing vegetables in style!

So is it all good then?

It would be silly to suggest that the Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer is absolutely perfect and everyone needs to get one. It’s a great juicer, though it does have a few pitfalls. These are:

  • Noise. Remember the massive engine that I mentioned earlier? Well, it has the unfortunate tendency of making an absurd amount of noise. If you’re love your music loud, this probably won’t bother you. But if noise isn’t your thing, perhaps a different juicer is a better option.
  • Efficiency. Though many people have reported getting lots of juice per produce inserted, not everyone has had the same experience. Some have complained that its efficiency simply isn’t up to standard.
  • Can be messy at times. Once again, though not a common experience, some people have complained of a big mess after juicing. The fruits and vegetables are sometimes “spat” out through the cracks. However, I use this juicer every day and I find it’s never done anything of the sort.

Should I get one?

It depends. I’ve got one sitting in my kitchen and have already had two juices made by it today (it’s now lunchtime). In the time I’ve been using it, it’s been noisy, but that is really the only downside which I’ve noticed.

If you’re looking for an all-round top juicer, then the Breville Juice Fountain Elite Juicer is an excellent choice. Though there are a couple of things which aren’t perfect, it still performs superbly in terms of giving you a highly nutritious drink and allowing you to enjoy the benefits of juicing. If you new to juicing, this juicer would also be an excellent choice.
