Juice Fasting And Why It’s Awesome
Have you heard about juice fasting?
It’s pretty damn cool. If you’re interested in supercharging your body and changing your life, you’ll want to do it. With the crappiness of the average Western diet, you’ll be glad you took the time.
What is juice fasting?
It’s pretty simple, especially if you do an apple juice fast or an orange juice fast.
During a fast, you abstain from most or all foods. Fasting is very common in religious circles. People fast to improve their lives and their relationship with their god. They may abstain only during the day, or they may fast for a large amount of time. Some people have been known to fast for 40 days, and some religious people claim that they have fasted for longer than 100 days.
Juice fasting is better than this. And it’s really good for your body.
During a juice fast, you abstain as usual like a normal fast. But unlike a normal fast, you drink as much juice as you want. If you’re smart about it, you drink primarily vegetable juice. Fruit juice fasts suck.
There are number of options when it comes to doing a juice fast. When should you do it? How long should you do it for? How should you begin and how should you end?
For example, you could do a 3 day juice fast or a 21 day juice fast.
Why is juice fasting awesome?
The benefits of juice fasting are many. They are found in the fact that juice fasting enables fresh nutrients to move quickly through your digestive system.
The typical western diet wreaks havoc on the human digestive system. We consume all sorts of food that drag us down rather than push us up. We drain our energy with the food we eat. It’s not a good thing. It’s destroying us.
During a fast, the human digestive system almost stops. Digestion is a very energy intensive process, so when you eat bad food that takes a while to digest, you will feel low on energy. During a fast, it is natural to feel incredible, despite the fact that you’re not eating food.
With juice fasting, the benefits of fasting are exaggerated because you’re consuming fresh fruits and vegetables in an easily digestible form. Juicing fresh fruits and vegetables “digests” them so your body doesn’t have to. This means that energy otherwise spent on digestion can be spent on improving your body. How cool is that!
