What is juicing good for?
You can juice for many different reasons. Some do it just because it tastes great.
Think of it in terms of fruit and vegetable intake. As that goes up, sickness goes down. So the more you juice, the less you’ll get sick and the better you’ll feel. Think of any negative health issue and juicing will probably help it, if not cure it entirely.

Do you need a juicer?
A while ago, I thought you needed a juicer to reap the benefits of juicing. Fortunately, that’s not the case, however if you’re looking for the fastest, most efficient way to juice, a juicer is your best bet.
But hey, don’t feel like you absolutely need one now. If you need to save up for it, that’s fine. In the meantime try steam juicing or juicing with a blender.
Do you need a recipe book?
At the end of the day, you don’t need any recipes at all. I began by experimenting with different fruits and vegetables until I found combinations that I liked. It’s a great way to get a feel for it, especially if you’re new to juicing.
However, juicing recipes can help you along the way.

Being new to juicing, juicing books are a great way to learn more about this healthy habit. There are some great books around, including the Complete Book of Juicing by Michael T. Murray and Total Juicing by Elaine LaLanne (Jack LaLanne’s wife).
Or if you’re looking for something digital, try The Juice Suggester. It’s simple and easy to use, and gives you more than 100 recipes. As you probably guessed, it suggests juicing recipes.
